Welcome to Solar Filament DB Management System.
The information stored in the database mainly comes from the following observatories: Huairou Solar Obsevation Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Great Bear Lake Solar Observatory of California Institute of Technology, National Solar Observatory of the United States (NSO), Kodaikanal Observatory of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, and Yunnan Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Scienc. The image database contains information from many observatories for nearly one hundred years.
About download
For downloading, the downloaded file is named'filaments_data' under disk D. Under the folder, there are some TXT files, each TXT file contains 1000 filaments' information. The information contains: image id, observation time, observation station, filaments id, filaments serial number, area, longitude, latitude, perimeter, angle, skeleton length, mean width, European distance, perimeter intensity, filaments' barbs number.

The National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is located at No. 20 Datun Road, Chaoyang District, about 1.2 kilometers east of Beishan Bridge, in the North Tiandi Science Park.
Metro Line 8 (Metro Map) Bus: Yuntong 110, 630, 695, 839, 328, 419, 518, 81 Nangou Nihe Station or the Geographic Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Station
Beijing Railway Stations to the National Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences by train route reference:
Beijing Railway Station: Take Metro Line 2 and get off at Andingmen Station. Transfer to bus No. 328 and get off at Geography Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Beijing West Railway Station: Take Bus No. 83 to Beisha Bridge East Railway Station and get off, about 1 km east. The National Observatory is located in Lubei Tiandi Science Park.
Beijing North Railway Station: Take Bus 490 to Chengfu intersection and get off at Nihe Station in Nangou by Bus 85.
